Kate is a trusted and experienced yoga teacher based in Folsom, California, known for her supportive teaching style and deep passion for Yin yoga. With over 900 hours of training and an eRYT-200 certification, she brings a thoughtful and grounded approach to everything she teaches.

Yin yoga is at the heart of Kate’s practice. She’s dedicated to helping students slow down, soften, and connect more deeply with themselves through long-held, meditative postures. In addition to leading group Yin and Restorative classes, Kate offers workshops and private sessions focused on alignment and mindful movement to help students safely deepen their asana practice.

Kate also loves supporting the next generation of yoga teachers. She mentors new instructors in how to teach Yin yoga with confidence and clarity, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical tools as they begin their own teaching journeys.

When she’s not teaching, you’ll find Kate on her mat, in her garden, or off exploring a new part of the world. A true beach and sunshine lover, she brings warmth, presence, and care to every class she leads.

Yoga is not a work-out; it is a work-in. And this is the point of spiritual practice, to make us teachable, to open up our hearts, and focus our awareness so that we can know what we already know and be who we already are. -Rolf Gates
